Ingredients
- 28 caramels
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/4 c. butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 c. pecan halves
Method
- Heat caramels, water and butter in double boiler.
- Add together sugar, salt, vanilla and eggs, then add this to caramel mixture.
- Add pecans, then pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake 10 minutes at 400°, then reduce to 350° and bake 20 minutes.
