Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Pet milk, diluted with 2 Tbsp. water
- 1/3 c. peanut butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 Tbsp. butter
Method
- Mix sugar, milk and water in saucepan.
- Cook slowly, stirring occasionally to 236° or until a few drops form a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
- Remove from heat.
- Cool at room temperature without stirring until lukewarm, or until the hand can be held comfortably on the bottom of pan.
- Add peanut butter, vanilla and butter.
- Beat until thick and pour into buttered plate or square dish.
