Ingredients

  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. Pet milk, diluted with 2 Tbsp. water
  • 1/3 c. peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. butter

Method

  • Mix sugar, milk and water in saucepan.
  • Cook slowly, stirring occasionally to 236° or until a few drops form a soft ball when dropped in cold water.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Cool at room temperature without stirring until lukewarm, or until the hand can be held comfortably on the bottom of pan.
  • Add peanut butter, vanilla and butter.
  • Beat until thick and pour into buttered plate or square dish.
