Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine
  • 14 cup cocoa
  • 1 cup water
  • 12 cup buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, well beaten
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups flour (all purpose, unsifted)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 12 cups creamy peanut butter
  • 1 12 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 12 cup butter or 12 cup margarine
  • 14 cup cocoa
  • 6 tablespoons buttermilk
  • 1 (16 ounce) box confectioners' sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

  • In saucepan, combine butter, cocoa, water, buttermilk, and eggs.
  • Stir constantly over low heat until mixture boils.
  • In large bowl, mix sugar, flour, and baking soda.
  • Stir hot mixture into dry ingredients.
  • Beat until smooth, then add vanilla.
  • Spread into greased 13 X 9 inch pan.
  • Bake at 350 degree for 25-30 minutes.
  • Cool in pan.
  • ICING: In saucepan, heat butter, cocoa, and buttermilk until bubbly.
  • Add hot mixture to sugar and beat until smooth.
  • Add vanilla and spread over cake.
