Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
  • 1/2 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. plain flour
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Method

  • Blend peanut butter and margarine.
  • Cream mixture with sugar and salt.
  • Beat egg and vanilla into creamed mixture until light and fluffy.
  • Sift flour and soda. Gradually blend into creamed mixture.
  • Form into 1-inch balls.
  • Place 2-inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Use fork to slightly flatten cookies. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in a 350° oven.
