Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 c. creamy peanut butter
  • 3/4 c. margarine or butter, softened
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 lb. confectioners sugar
  • 6 cubes (14 oz.) chocolate or vanilla flavored candy coating, melted

Method

  • In large mixer bowl, beat peanut butter, margarine, vanilla and salt until fluffy; gradually beat in sweetened condensed milk, then confectioners sugar until smooth.
  • Shape into 1-inch balls. Place on baking sheets.
  • Chill until firm.
  • With fork or wooden pick, dip each into melted candy coating, not coating completely; let excess candy coating drip off.
  • Place on wax paper-lined baking sheets; let stand or chill until firm.
  • Store covered at room temperature or in refrigerator.
  • These candies freeze well.
