Ingredients
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Karo syrup
- 1/2 c. hot water
- 2 c. raw peanuts
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 tsp. soda
Method
- Mix sugar, Karo, water and peanuts together in a heavy skillet.
- Cook until golden brown and until the peanuts begin to pop, approximately 30 minutes.
- Remove from fire and add the vanilla.
- Mix thoroughly.
- Add soda and stir vigorously.
- Pour onto a well-greased sheet pan.
- Spread as thin as possible.
- When cold, break into pieces.
