Ingredients
- 1 qt. plus 1 c. fresh peaches or berries
- 1 Tbsp. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. water
- dash of salt
- 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 rounded c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 c. butter
Method
- Boil first 6 ingredients together for 5 minutes, stirring gently, very often.
- Set aside.
- Melt butter in 8-inch square pan or deep dish that is ovensafe.
- Combine sugar, milk and flour. Stir and pour into pan over butter.
- Then pour fruit mixture on top of flour mixture.
- Do not stir.
- Bake at 350° until brown.
