Ingredients

  • 1 c. self-rising flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1/3 c. margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 (29 oz.) can sliced peaches (or any fruit), undrained

Method

  • Combine first three ingredients.
  • Mix well.
  • Add milk.
  • Stir. Pour mixture into a lightly greased shallow 2-quart casserole. Dot with butter.
  • Combine 3 tablespoons of sugar and cinnamon.
  • Add to peaches.
  • Spoon peach mixture over batter.
  • Do not stir.
  • Bake at 350° for 50 or 60 minutes or until brown.
  • Yields 6 to 8 servings.
