Ingredients
- 2 c. sifted flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 2/3 c. shortening
- 1 c. cold milk
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
Method
- Sift together into bowl the flour, salt and sugar.
- Using a pastry blender, cut the shortening into the flour until it resembles corn meal.
- Add milk, 1 tablespoon at a time, and just enough to make particles stick together.
- Roll out 1/2 of pastry, fill pie pan and brush with melted butter.
- Add fruit filling. Roll out remainder of pastry and place on top of pie.
