Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. bacon
  • 1 large sweet onion, chopped
  • 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can green peas
  • 1 lb. ditalini, boiled and drained
  • Parmesan cheese, grated

Method

  • In large skillet fry bacon over medium heat until almost crisp.
  • Cut bacon into 2 inch pieces.
  • Add chopped onion to bacon and grease; cook until onion is tender.
  • Pour off about 1/3 of grease.
  • Mix in peas with juice.
  • Pour bacon mixture into large pot of cooked and drained ditalini.
  • Sprinkle with cheese.
  • Serve with tossed garden salad and crispy garlic bread; outrageous!
