Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1 large sweet onion, chopped
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can green peas
- 1 lb. ditalini, boiled and drained
- Parmesan cheese, grated
Method
- In large skillet fry bacon over medium heat until almost crisp.
- Cut bacon into 2 inch pieces.
- Add chopped onion to bacon and grease; cook until onion is tender.
- Pour off about 1/3 of grease.
- Mix in peas with juice.
- Pour bacon mixture into large pot of cooked and drained ditalini.
- Sprinkle with cheese.
- Serve with tossed garden salad and crispy garlic bread; outrageous!
