Ingredients
- 2 eggs
- 1 lb. cottage cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 clove garlic, minced or 1/8 tsp. garlic powder
- 3 to 4 whole matzo
- milk
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1/2 lb. Muenster cheese, shredded
Method
- In medium bowl, beat eggs.
- Add cottage cheese, salt, pepper and garlic.
- Mix well; wet matzo with milk until moist, not soggy.
- Pour a little sauce in bottom of 8 x 8-inch baking pan. Layer remaining ingredients, alternating, matzo, cheese, tomato sauce and Muenster cheese.
- Bake at 350° for 45 to 50 minutes. Let rest 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
- Serves 6.
