Ingredients
- 4 c. mashed (8 to 10 large) or 4 c. prepared instant potatoes
- 1 c. (8 oz.) sour cream
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
- 1 tsp. dried chives or 1 Tbsp. snipped fresh chives
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 c. dry bread crumbs
- 1 Tbsp. melted butter
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Method
- In
- large
- bowl,
- combine
- potatoes,
- sour cream, cream cheese, chives and garlic powder.
- Turn into a greased 2-quart casserole.
- Combine
- bread
- crumbs with butter;
- sprinkle over potatoes.
- Bake at 350° for 50 to 60 minutes.
- Top with cheese and serve immediately.
- Dish can be assembled a day ahead and baked just before serving.
- Yield:
- 10 to 12 servings.
