Ingredients

  • Single-crust unbaked 9-inch pie pastry
  • 3/4 cup Land O Lakes Butter, melted
  • 4 Land O Lakes Eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cornmeal
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 teaspoons Land O Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • Land O Lakes Heavy Whipping Cream, whipped, if desired
  • Pecan halves, if desired

Method

  • Heat oven to 350F.
  • Place pastry into 9-inch pie pan.
  • Crimp or flute edge of pastry; set aside.
  • Combine all filling ingredients in bowl.
  • Stir until well mixed.
  • Pour filling into prepared pastry.
  • Bake 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  • Cool completely.
  • Top each serving with whipped cream, if desired.
  • Garnish with pecan halves, if desired.
