Ingredients

  • 1 12 lbs lean ground beef
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 12 teaspoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 12 teaspoons italian seasoning
  • 12 teaspoon chili powder
  • 14 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 18 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 12 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 8 hamburger buns, split

Method

  • In large skillet, cook the beef, green pepper and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain.
  • Stir in the sugar, flour, seasonings, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
  • Cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Spoon 1/2 cup onto each bun.
