Ingredients
- 4 c. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. Crisco
- 1 pkg. dry yeast (not RapidRise)
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 c. warm milk
- 3 eggs, beaten
Method
- Mix flour, salt, sugar and Crisco.
- Set aside.
- Dissolve the yeast in water with sugar.
- Let rise.
- Mix warm milk, eggs and yeast mixture.
- Stir and add to flour mixture.
- Refrigerate overnight in a large greased sealed bowl.
- Remove next day and use for sweet rolls, dumplings, hard rolls, kuchen or deep fried bread.
- This dough can be kept refrigerated for 8 days.
