Ingredients

  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 egg
  • 1 pkg. pineapple or lemon cake mix
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. water
  • 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen strawberries

Method

  • Cream together 1 1/2 packages of cream cheese and sugar until fluffy.
  • Gradually add 1 egg and vanilla.
  • Beat well.
  • Spread mixture evenly in greased and lightly floured 13 x 9-inch pan. Blend cake mix with remaining cream cheese, eggs and water.
  • Beat 4 minutes and spread over cheese mixture.
  • Bake at 350° for 40 to 50 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
  • Cool in pan 5 minutes. Remove from pan and cool completely.
  • Cut and serve with strawberries on top.
