Ingredients

  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. shortening or margarine
  • 1/2 c. chunky peanut butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 Tbsp. water
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate pieces

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350°.
  • Lightly grease cookie sheets.
  • Mix flour, baking soda and salt together in bowl.
  • Beat sugar, shortening, peanut butter, eggs, vanilla and water in bowl until creamy.
  • Add flour mixture.
  • Blend well.
  • Stir in chocolate pieces.
  • Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto prepared cookie sheets.
  • Bake about 12 to 14 minutes or until firm to touch.
  • Let cool and enjoy!
