Ingredients

  • Overcooked Brussels sprouts
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar (balsamic vinegar is especially nice)
  • 1 tablespoon brown (or white) sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (or 1/4 teaspoon salt)
  • 1/2 cup soft bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Method

  • Drain the overcooked little devils as gently and thoroughly as possible.
  • Meanwhile, combine the oil, vinegar, sugar, and soy sauce in a small saucepan and bring to a boil.
  • Sprinkle half of the bread crumbs in the bottom of a baking dish.
  • Spread the sprouts over the crumbs.
  • Pour the sauce on them, and then cover with a flurry of the remaining crumbs and the Parmesan cheese.
  • You should warm this in the oven at 350F, but since its already overcooked, dont wait too long.
