Ingredients

  • 1 c. oleo
  • 1 c. white sugar
  • 2/3 c. packed brown sugar
  • 1 c. peanut butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 c. flour
  • 1 c. quick cooking oatmeal
  • 2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Method

  • Heat oven to 350°.
  • Beat oleo, sugars, peanut butter, vanilla and eggs in a large bowl vigorously until creamy and well blended. Mix in flour, oats, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir in chocolate chips.
  • Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
  • Cool 1 minute.
  • Remove from cookie sheet to wire rack. Makes about 4 dozen cookies.
