Ingredients
- 1 pkg. active dry yeast
- 5 1/4 c. all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 c. shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
- 1 3/4 c. milk
- 3 Tbsp. salad oil
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. minced oregano (4 if fresh)
- 1 tsp. salt
Method
- Stir together the yeast and two cups of the flour in large mixing bowl.
- Heat together the remaining ingredients (except rest of flour) until lukewarm.
- Add to flour-yeast mixture.
- Beat on low speed for 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.
- Beat at high speed for 3 minutes.
- Stir in as much of the remaining flour as you can mix in with a spoon.
