Ingredients
- 5 c. onions, thinly sliced
- 5 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 tsp. flour
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. powdered mustard
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 6 c. beef broth (56 oz.)
- 1 c. cooking sherry
Method
- Saute onions in butter and oil 30 to 40 minutes.
- Stir in flour, salt, mustard and pepper.
- Add beef broth and cooking sherry.
- Cook everything (simmer) 30 minutes.
