Ingredients
- 1/2 clove garlic
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine, melted
- 1 (3/4 oz.) pkg. brown gravy mix
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 c. Burgundy or other dry red wine
- pinch of salt
- 1/2 lb. mushrooms, sliced
- 1 c. thinly sliced green onion
Method
- Saute garlic in butter in a large skillet.
- Add gravy mix, water, wine and pepper; bring to a boil.
- Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thickened.
- Add mushrooms and green onion; cook until thoroughly heated.
- Serve hot with beef patties or steak.
