Ingredients
- 2 lb. fresh asparagus
- 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 c. milk
- 1 c. grated American cheese
- 1 c. buttered bread crumbs
- 3 Tbsp. flour
- pepper
- 4 hard-cooked eggs, shelled
Method
- Prepare asparagus and cut into 2-inch pieces.
- Cook in 1-inch of boiling salted water until tender.
- Make white sauce of butter, flour, seasonings and milk.
- Stir in cheese.
