- 3 lb. green bell peppers
- 3 lb. red bell peppers
- 3 c. sugar
- 2 2/3 c. white vinegar (5% acidity)
- 2 2/3 c. water
- 3 3/4 tsp. pickling salt
- 6 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp. Kerr Extra Crisp seasoning (from packet)
Method
- Cut peppers in half; remove core and seeds.
- Slice in 1/4-inch strips.
- In a 6 to 8-quart saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, water, 1/2 teaspoon from crisping packet and pickling salt.
- Bring to boil.
- Add sliced peppers; return to boil.
