Ingredients
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. butter or margarine
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 1/2 c. milk
Method
- Sift together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream until light and fluffy the butter, sugar, vanilla and egg. Stir in half flour mixture, then half of milk; mix well, then add rest of flour mixture and milk.
- Pour into 9 x 9-inch square pan, greased and floured.
- Bake in preheated 350° oven for about 25 minutes or test with toothpick near center to see if done.
- Frost with Sour Cream Raisin Frosting.
