Ingredients

  • 2 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp. vinegar
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. water
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. vegetable oil
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch

Method

  • Shape into small balls.
  • Fry in hot oil until brown.
  • Remove from pan and pour off excess fat.
  • Add garlic, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and salt.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • Add meatballs and simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Thicken with cornstarch, mixed with water.
  • Cook until liquid thickens and gets clear.
  • Makes about 100 meat balls.
