Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup olive oil
- 4 eggs
- wheat flour as needed, About 1 kg
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup brandy optional
- 1/2 lemon peel zest
- 1 egg yolk for brushing
Method
- Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- In a large bowl place the eggs and sugar.
- Beat well.
- Add olive oil, lemon zest, cinnamon, and brandy.
- Beat again until the mixture is homogeneous.
- Afterwards, add the yeast, and gradually add the flour until the dough is consistent for molding.
- Make small balls, brush with egg yolk, and place on an oven tray greased with olive oil.
- Bake until browned.
