Ingredients
- 5 c. milk
- 1/2 c. rice
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Method
- Bring to a boil 4 cups milk, sugar and rice.
- Add the rice that has been rinsed well.
- Simmer slowly, covered.
- Cook for about 1 hour on low heat.
- Pour into a greased 9-inch casserole. Add the remaining 1 cup milk and vanilla.
- (Raisins may be added if desired.)
- Bake in 400° oven until the skin on the pudding is browned.
- Allow to cool.
