Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. okra, cut 1/2 inch slices
- 1/2 c. onion, chopped
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. flour
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
Method
- Cook okra in a little water until tender, drain.
- Cook onions and green pepper in margarine until tender, do not brown.
- Stir in sugar and flour, 1/2 teaspoon salt, dash of pepper.
- Add tomatoes, drained okra and heat through, simmer a few minutes.
- You can also use fresh tomatoes, about 4 medium.
