Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. margarine
  • 1/2 c. peanut butter
  • 1 1/4 c. flour
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 2 c. rolled oats
  • 1 c. chocolate chips

Method

  • In a large bowl beat margarine and peanut butter with an electric mixer on medium for 30 seconds.
  • Add half the flour.
  • Add sugar, brown sugar, eggs, baking powder, vanilla and soda; beat until combined.
  • Stir in remaining flour.
  • Stir in oats and chocolate chips.
  • Drop dough from a rounded teaspoon 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 375° for 10 minutes. Cool on wire rack.
  • Makes 5 dozen.
