Ingredients
- 1 c. quick oats
- 1 1/4 c. boiling water
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. white sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 1/3 c. flour
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Method
- Pour boiling water over oats.
- Let stand 20 minutes.
- Cream shortening (margarine or butter) and sugars.
- Add eggs and beat well.
- Add flour, cinnamon, soda and salt and mix thoroughly.
- Add oats last.
- Bake 35 minutes in a 12 x 9-inch pan in a 350° oven.
