Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup sugar, divided
  • 10 Tbsp. margarine or butter, divided
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 cup PLANTERS Chopped Pecans

Method

  • Preheat oven to 350F.
  • Mix flour and 1/4 cup of the sugar in large bowl.
  • Cut in 8 Tbsp.
  • (1 stick) of the margarine with pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  • Press firmly onto bottom of 13x9-inch baking pan.
  • Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • Melt remaining 2 Tbsp.
  • margarine; pour into large bowl.
  • Add eggs, corn syrup, remaining 1/2 cup sugar and vanilla; beat with wire whisk until well blended.
  • Stir in pecans.
  • Pour over crust.
  • Bake 25 minutes or until filling is set.
  • Cool completely in pan.
  • Cut into 20 bars to serve.
