Ingredients
- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. nutmeg
- 1/2 c. softened butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 2 medium mashed bananas
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1 1/4 c. chopped walnuts
Method
- Heat oven to 350°.
- Mix dry ingredients; set aside.
- Cream butter and sugar; beat in eggs until light and fluffy.
- Beat in vanilla and bananas.
- Add flour mixture and beat until blended. Add water; blend in well.
- Stir in walnuts.
- Add batter to greased 9 x 5-inch loaf pan.
- Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool in pan for 5 minutes, then turn out on rack to cool completely.
