Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. flour, plain
- 3 tbsp. shortening
- 1 egg, well beaten
- 5 tbsp. water or cold chicken broth
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 tsp. black pepper
Method
- Mix flour,
- salt and pepper.
- Cut in shortening with a pastry blender.
- Add broth or water and egg.
- Makes a soft dough.
- Divide into two parts and roll our very thin and cut into strips.
- Let dry at least 15 minutes.
- Cut into small squares and drop into boiling chicken broth.
- Cook until tender.
