Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. round steak
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • shortening for browning steak
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 soup cans water

Method

  • Cut steak into serving pieces.
  • Mix salt and pepper with flour.
  • Brown steak (do not fry).
  • Cook just long enough to brown both sides.
  • Drain steak on paper towel.
  • Mix soup with 2 cans of water in baking dish or roaster.
  • Add steak.
  • Cover.
  • Bake 1 hour at 350°.
  • Makes 6 servings.
