Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter (oleo)
  • box lemon cake mix
  • 1 Tbsp. dried basil
  • 1 (8 oz.) light cream cheese
  • 1 1/4 c. raisins
  • 1/4 c. chopped nuts or your choice
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 egg yolk

Method

  • Blend butter and cream cheese and egg yolk until fluffy.
  • Turn into cake mix 1/3 at a time.
  • Fix last portion by hand.
  • Stir in remaining ingredients.
  • Drop by level tablespoons onto greased cookie sheet.
  • Bake at 350° for 15 to 18 minutes or until lightly browned.
  • For bar cookies use a 9 x 13-inch pan.
