Ingredients
- 8 eggs (reserve 6 egg whites for meringue)
- 1 c. sugar
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 2 tsp. cornstarch
- 2 Tbsp. margarine
- 4 c. milk, scalded
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 unbaked 9-inch deep pie shells
Method
- Beat 6 egg yolks and 2 whole eggs slightly.
- Add sugar, flour and cornstarch.
- Add hot milk gradually.
- Add margarine and vanilla.
- Pour mixture into uncooked pie shell.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes at 375° until firm.
- Don't overcook.
