Ingredients

  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 ounce spaghetti sauce
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 cups water
  • 1/4 cup parsley chopped
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese shredded
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 8 ounces lasagna noodles uncooked

Method

  • Brown beef in 3 quart saucepan, drain fat. Add sauce and water, simmer about 10 minutes. Combine remaining ingredients, except noodles, for filling. Pour 1 cup of sauce on bottom of 9 X 13 inch pan. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over sauce. Cover with about 1 1/2 cups sauce. Spread 1/2 of cheese filling over sauce. Repeat layers of noodles, sauce, and cheese filling.
  • Top with layer of lasagna and remaining sauce. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for 55 to 60 minutes. Remove foil, bake 10 minutes longer, allow to stand 15 minutes before cutting for easier handling.
