Ingredients
- 3 tbsp butter
- 2 None onions, peeled and cut into short strips
- 1 lb crimini mushrooms, halved or quartered depending on size
- 1 lb fresh spaetzle
- 1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg
Method
- Heat 1 tbsp butter in a frying pan and saute the onion and mushrooms for 5 mins. Season with salt and black pepper.
- In a separate frying pan, heat 2 tbsp butter and fry the spaetzle for 10 mins, until golden brown all over. Season with salt and a pinch of nutmeg. Add the mushroom mixture and stir.
