Ingredients

  • 2 medium onions, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. oil or margarine
  • 2 lb. frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 2 cans cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 c. sour cream
  • 2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
  • 1 1/2 c. crushed cornflakes
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted

Method

  • In skillet, saute onions in oil or margarine.
  • Combine with hash browns, soup, sour cream and cheese.
  • Spread in lightly greased 9 x 13-inch pan.
  • Combine cornflakes and melted butter. Sprinkle over top.
  • Bake in 350° oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
