Ingredients

  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 cups fresh mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 12 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 12 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 12 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 14 cup all-purpose flour
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 14 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 14 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 whole wheat hamburger buns, split

Method

  • In a large bowl, combine the first nine ingredients.
  • Shape into four patties.
  • In a large skillet, cook patties in oil over medium heat for 3 minutes on each side or until crisp and lightly browned.
  • Serve on buns.
