Ingredients
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 2 large or 3 small ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 c. sour milk
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
Method
- Beat margarine and sugar with mixer for 3 minutes or until light and fluffy.
- Stir in bananas.
- Sift flour, soda and salt. Add flour mixture gradually to batter.
- Stir until well mixed. Add sour milk.
- Stir until smooth.
- Pour batter into loaf pan. Sprinkle top with nuts, if desired.
- Bake at 375° for 1 hour or until the center is baked when tested.
- Cool 10 minutes in pan on wire rack.
- Remove from pan.
- Cool.
