Ingredients

  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 c. cocoa
  • 1/4 c. fudge sauce or fudge ice cream topping
  • 1 c. chilled whipping cream
  • 1/2 c. butter, melted
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
  • 1 c. chopped nuts (if you like)
  • 2 Tbsp. powdered sugar

Method

  • Grease a round 8 x 1 1/2-inch pan or 8 x 1 1/4-inch pie plate with shortening.
  • Mix sugar, butter, vanilla, salt, eggs, flour and cocoa in a medium bowl with a wooden spoon; stir in nuts.
  • Pour into pan.
  • Bake until wooden pick inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean, about 25 minutes.
