Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick melted butter
  • granulated brown sugar
  • 12 slices pineapple
  • 12 cherries
  • 1 box pineapple cake mix
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 box instant pudding (vanilla or lemon)
  • 10 oz. pineapple juice (from canned pineapple)

Method

  • Melt butter in a 9 x 13 pan. Then sift granulated brown sugar over the melted butter until covered well. Place pineapple in pan on top of sugar and butter. Take cherries and place 1 in the center of each slice of pineapple. Then mix cake mix, eggs, pudding and pineapple juice in a bowl and pour batter over pineapple. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
