Ingredients

  • 1/2 flank steak (12 oz.)
  • 10 whole scallions, trimmed
  • 1 egg
  • 1 Tbsp. cornstarch
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cooking wine
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. cooking oil

Method

  • Cut meat across the grain into thin slices, 2-inches long. Combine soy sauce, 1 tablespoon cornstarch, sugar, salt, cooking wine, pepper, cooking oil and egg in medium glass or plastic bowl; beat lightly with a fork.
  • Mix in meat.
  • Let stand 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
