Ingredients
- 1/2 c. Crisco (not butter flavor)
- 3 eggs
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. chopped almonds
- 3/4 c. chocolate chips
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. flour
- 1 tsp. almond extract
Method
- Cream shortening and sugar.
- Add eggs, flour, baking powder and almond extract; mix well.
- Add nuts and chips by hand.
- Divide dough into 2 parts.
- Make each a log shape.
- Bake on a floured cookie sheet for 25 to 30 minutes at 350°.
- When cooled, cut into slices.
