Ingredients
- 3 lb. lean beef or ground meat
- 1 pt. sweet milk
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 tsp. mace
- 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
- 1 1/2 qt. water
- 1/4 lb. oleo
- 1/2 pt. cream
- 2 hard-boiled eggs, cut up in medium-size chunks
Method
- Boil meat and water until one quart of liquid remains.
- Add one pint of milk and 1/4 pound oleo.
- Remove meat; allow to cool. Grind and return to stock.
- Let it cook down a little more.
- Add flour dissolved in cream.
- Add seasoning.
