Ingredients
- 1 large stalk celery
- 2 medium raw carrots
- 3/4 lb. raw cabbage
- 1 medium green sweet pepper
- 1 small raw onion
- 2 heaping Tbsp. peanut butter
- 2 onions, sliced, which have been simmered in about 2 Tbsp. shortening (oil, butter, chicken fat or Crisco) in covered pan for about 10 minutes
Method
- Put all ingredients, except peanut butter, in food chopper and grind fine.
- Mix peanut butter with ground ingredients.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve on lettuce leaf.
- Garnish with slice of tomato on crisp toast.
