Ingredients

  • 1 large stalk celery
  • 2 medium raw carrots
  • 3/4 lb. raw cabbage
  • 1 medium green sweet pepper
  • 1 small raw onion
  • 2 heaping Tbsp. peanut butter
  • 2 onions, sliced, which have been simmered in about 2 Tbsp. shortening (oil, butter, chicken fat or Crisco) in covered pan for about 10 minutes

Method

  • Put all ingredients, except peanut butter, in food chopper and grind fine.
  • Mix peanut butter with ground ingredients.
  • Season with salt to taste.
  • Serve on lettuce leaf.
  • Garnish with slice of tomato on crisp toast.
