Ingredients
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 4 eggs
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 1/3 c. cocoa
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped nuts
- 3 tsp. vanilla
- 1 pkg. marshmallows
Method
- Cream sugar and shortening together.
- Add eggs and beat.
- Sift flour and salt.
- Combine cocoa.
- Add to sugar mixture.
- Add nuts and vanilla.
- Pour into greased 13 1/2 x 9 1/2-inch pan.
- Bake 30 minutes at 300°.
- Remove from oven and cover with marshmallows. Return to oven about 10 minutes to melt marshmallows.
- Then ice with frosting.
