Ingredients

  • 1 lb. ground chuck (uncooked)
  • 3 medium size peeled and sliced potatoes
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2/3 c. uncooked rice
  • 1 can tomato soup and 1 can water
  • 1 small (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Method

  • In greased casserole dish, put one row raw sliced potatoes, one row raw sliced onions and one row raw ground chuck (broken in pieces).
  • Sprinkle with about 1/3 cup uncooked rice.
  • Salt and pepper each layer.
  • Repeat once more.
